Join children's book author Deborah Desser for this introduction to the seven basic elements of the process of self-publishing a children's picture book. In this lecture course, we will cover these seven elements:
• Understanding the children's book market.
• Story development and manuscript writing.
• Story structure and pagination.
• Editing and feedback.
• Illustration planning.
• Book design and layout.
• Technical details and preparation.

TUITION & REGISTRATION

Instructor

DEBORAH DESSER is the self-published author of two children’s picture books and ghost-author of a third. She has researched and written over 4,000 pieces of collateral content for a variety of industries and has written articles for an e-magazine in the design industry. Additionally, Deborah teaches creative writing courses, and currently coaches and mentors writers of children’s literature. Ms. Desser is originally from Montreal, where she studied Languages, Literature, & Linguistics.
