Stardust:
25 years of the Jaffe Collection

JCBA Book Arts Gallery & Lobby

STARDUST: 25 Years of the Jaffe Collection is a 25-year retrospective of the Jaffe Center for Book Arts and the collection that inspired it. The exhibition includes artists' books and limited editions featured in the original grand opening on January 6, 2000, and additions to the Jaffe Collection over the past 25 years, including our newest acquisition: "Unabridged" by Karen Hanmer. The show also includes works by our students and works by our Salzberg Residents, plus books and ephemera from the Arthur J. Williams Pop-Up Collection and the Rosa Trillo Clough Archive of Italian Futurism –– two related collections at Florida Atlantic University Libraries that have found good company at the Jaffe Center for Book Arts.

25 YEARS of the JAFFE COLLECTION

2025 brings an important milestone for Book Arts Enthusiasts: It's the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Jaffe Collection, the seed that grew into the Jaffe Center for Book Arts.

Arthur & Mata Jaffe wielded the giant scissors at the ribbon cutting ceremony on the sixth day of January 2000, and here we are, 25 years later, so grateful for your support all these years. We've got plans for small celebrations throughout this important year, starting off with a exhibition opening and gallery talk with book artist Karen Hanmer on Sunday afternoon, February 16.
