VISIT THE CENTER
Come to JCBA to experience books like you've never seen before. We welcome community groups, classes from Florida Atlantic and other universities and colleges, groups of friends and family, professional groups, and classes from high schools and middle schools and elementary schools. Schedule an hour with us and we'll open your eyes to a whole new way of thinking, where the ubiquitous becomes astounding. Groups of 8 to 24 are ideal, but we can bend the rules a bit in either direction. Contact us for more details or to schedule.

Learn how to build an archival lidded box in this one-day intensive workshop led by JCBA Salzberg Resident artist Katie Chung. Students will leave this workshop with a beautifully crafted box and the fundamentals of constructing a box using traditional book arts techniques. Prior book making experience is strongly encouraged. Materials and supplies will be provided.

Inspired by the shapes of wooden pattern blocks, this workshop scales up and expands these geometric solids to enable you to construct practical and playful items. Our blocks and boxes will be made from cover-weight paper, using hidden magnets to increase impromptu sculptural possibilities. We will explore decorating the surfaces of our blocks, with an emphasis on fractal embellishments, and learn how to modify the provided templates to assemble the blocks into unusual boxes with closures. Your blocks and boxes will be decorative, inviting, and most importantly, whimsical and personal.

Dear Friends,
We've built such a wonderful global community since we began beaming Real Mail Fridays
out to the world through our weekly online JCBA Zoom socials, and it is truly humbling
and heartwarming to see friends join us each week and new folks, too, from all corners
of this vast planet. In that spirit, we have no plans to end our weekly Zoom version of
Real Mail Fridays.
